The 2026 Difficult
Dialogues series (formerly Courageous Conversations) is proudly sponsored by the Community Foundation of the Ozarks. These free community conversations provide a welcoming space to explore topics that foster understanding, belonging, and stronger communities.
Events are held at the Royale Cinema Lounge from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. A social and networking reception begins at 5:30 p.m., followed by the featured speaker and facilitated discussion at 6:00 p.m.
Admission is free and open to the public.

Back-to-School Skate Night Social
In partnership with EastTown Dreams District, BLASIANetwork will host the Back-to-School Skate Night Social on September 14 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. The event is designed to welcome students and families as they prepare for the new school year while strengthening neighborhood relationships, promoting inclusion and belonging, and connecting families with educational and community resources.
Good Neighbor Day

Good Neighbor Day is a free, family-friendly community celebration hosted by You Belong in Joplin (YBIJ) in partnership with BLASIANetwork (Building Leaders Network) to bring community members together, strengthen neighborhood connections, and foster a greater sense of belonging throughout the Joplin area.
Good Neighbor Day welcomes residents of all ages and backgrounds to enjoy live entertainment, local vendors, interactive activities, games, food, and resource booths featuring area nonprofits, businesses, and community organizations.
